Happy Labor Day Weekend!

Yesterday, (Friday) I went for a walk. I was only gone for an hour, but I managed to piss off a Blind man.

Here’s what happened:
The guy was swinging his cane wildly while he was crossing the street.
I was crossing as well, but in the opposite direction.
I veered to the very left side to avoid him, but his Cane hit my Wheel.
He then called me a fucking jerk and told me to watch where I was going.
I just laughed to myself afterwards.

He already seemed pretty pissed off though, before I came along.

I returned home shortly after and spent a few hours with my Wife.

As for (Saturday) today, my Wife and I headed to the Glebe Fine Arts Show.

Along the way, we passed by a Barber Shop.
My Wife was just talking about getting a haircut and I haven’t shaved for a few days now.
So between the two of us, we were prime targets.
One of the guys that works there came out to talk to us.

For the past few weeks, I’ve been considering growing a Beard and Moustache, like the one Mario has on America’s Got Talent I think it would make me look a little darker and edgier than I do now. I tend to have a dark/edgy personality, so it would just go well with it.

Problem is though, if I don’t shave for awhile, it starts to get itchy and I end up shaving it off. Itches sometimes really PISS me off, especially since I can’t scratch it myself.

Luckily, I have a Wife for when I get Crotch itch.
Not to say that it happens often, but it’s good to have options.

Where was I?
Oh yeah…

The other thing is that this Barber Shop charges $44 for that service. That’s pretty insane for me. I’m gonna keep scouting a few other Barber Shops in Ottawa.
Hopefully, I’ll find a good one.
Perhaps, I’ll drop by the Barber Shop that I went to when I was growing up.
I saw my old Barber just last year when I dropped in to say hi, and he remembered me. So, it’s a possibility.

With that, we took the Bus and headed to the Glebe Community Centre.
This was my first time there.
It wasn’t bad. It was hard getting into some of the booths due to the amount of people.
After that, my Wife went to Starbucks to get something to eat before the ride home.

As of right now, I have no plans for tonight.
The Jerry Lewis Telethon For Muscular Dystrophy starts tonight, I think.
Even though, I have MD, I tend to avoid the Telethon.

I don’t agree with how we’re portrayed.
I understand it’s a Telethon and pity sells, but I don’t have to be a part of it, even though I was when I was a kid.
My Disability is a part of me, but it doesn’t define me or my life.

A part of me laughs when I get the Newsletter from the Local Chapter of the MD Association.
I always think that I’ll open it up and it’ll say, Congrats! You may already have MD!

Well, I hope you people enjoy your long weekend.

Thanks for reading.

Here’s a quick recap of last night’s show:
Jeffrey Ou (Pianist) got the votes over Bri. (Singer)
Mario & Jenny (Comedy/Variety) got the votes over Marcus Terell and the Serenades. (Singers)
Lawrence Beamen (Singer) got the votes over Dave Johnson (Singer), and Jay Mattioli. (Magician)
Hairo Torres (Dancer) got the win over U4RIA Dance Crew (Dancers), and G-Force. (Singers)
The Foot Work Kings (Dancers) got the Judges decision over Pixie Mystere. (Dancers)

Final Thoughts:
The Judges made the right choices except for the first one. I thought Bri was better than Jeffrey Ou.

Now I’m off to spend the Afternoon with my Wife & her Niece at The Ex.

So I watched America’s Got Talent last night.

I guessed wrong about who was gonna performed.

Here’s the list of Performers from last night’s show:

The Foot Work Kings (Break Dancers)
Marcus Terrell & The Serenades (Singers)
Pixie Mystere (Dancers)
Jay Mattioli (Magican)
Bri (Singer)
U4RIA Dance Crew (Dancers)
Dave Johnson (Singer)
Hairo Torres (Dancer)
G-Force (Singers)
Jeffrey Ou (Pianist)
Mario & Jenny (Comedy/Variety)
Lawrence Beamen (Singer)

The Good:
The Foot Work Kings (Break Dancers)
These guys were pretty good with their moves, makeup, & stage pressence. They got my vote.

Marcus Terrell & The Serenades (Singers)
Originally, this guy got eliminated just because he had bad backup Singers. He ditched them, got new ones, and did a great job. Another one got my vote.

Bri (Singer)
I liked Bri. Her voice is pretty strong at her age of 17. She performed very well. Another one voted by me.

Hairo Torres (Dancer)
This guy was very unique with his moves. I like unique, I like him, and he got my vote.

Mario & Jenny (Comedy/Variety)
In my opinion, they were the best of the night. They juggled flaming Guitars and lit this HUGE structure and balanced it on themselves, which I’ve never seen before. I voted for them.

The Bad:
U4RIA Dance Crew (Dancers)

I don’t know what they were trying to do. It started as a semi tribute to Michael Jackson, but then got stranger. There were a few moments where they were out of sync.

Jay Mattioli (Magican)
I got bored of this guy pretty quickly. He did typical hankerchief tricks, which I’ve seen many times.

Dave Johnson (Singer)
Oh man! This guy did a song about the TV show, The Golden Girls. That was one of my favorite shows growing up. I was laughing my ass off while he performed and that’s the only reason why he’s bad, not ugly.

Lawrence Beamen (Singer)

He has a good voice, but not my type of music. There were also times where I could barely hear him.

The Ugly:
Pixie Mystere (Dancers)

These kids were dressed as Pixies or something. If I wanted to see a School Play/Dance, I can get cross the Street where I live.

G-Force (Singers)
This was an all girl pop band consisting of kids. They sang REALLY off keys, which by today’s “music” standards means they’ll win a Grammy or MTV Award soon.

Jeffrey Ou (Pianist)
His show started off dressed up as Jerry Lewis as a nerd. Every now and then, he’d hit a few keys to reminds us that he plays Piano. It probably would’ve been good if he stuck to playing the Piano.

As you can see, I’m not a fan of kids on America’s Got Talent. Las Vegas is a City for Adults, not kids.

I’m also not overly a fan of Singers being on there either. American Idol is already there and there’s a reason why I don’t watch American Idol past the audition phase.

Final Thoughts:
Out of this group, I voted for everyone in “The Good” section. Hopefully, they move on.

Tonight’s the results show.
Hopefully, I’ll be able to watch it, instead of recording it.

Thanks for reading.

I went to the Doctor today to renew my Prescriptions.
A few hours later, my Mom dropped by to visit.

So tonight, America’s Got Talent is on.
12 performers will perform tonight.

Here’s the rundown:
The Foot Work Kings (Break Dancers)
Marcus Terrell & The Serenades (Singers)
Pixie Mystere (Dancers)
Jay Mattioli (Magican)
Bri (Singer)
U4RIA Dance Crew (Dancers)
Dave Johnson (Singer)
Hairo Torres (Dancer)
G-Force (Singers)
Jeffrey Ou (Pianist)
Mario & Jenny (Comedy/Variety)
Lawrence Beamen (Singer)

It should be a GREAT show and I’m looking forward to it.

My Wife is still out of Town, so I’ll probably be on Twitter talking about each performance.

Enjoy the show!

For those who can’t watch it, I’ll be posting a recap tomorrow.
