Last time I posted was on Wednesday, just before using my new Ventilator.

The first night was pretty rough. It kept beeping every few minutes, which meant i got almost no sleep that night. The next day was pretty much a write-off.
I went out for about an hour to try to wake up, but it didn’t really help.

Later that night, I had a surprise visit from two friends of mine, Ashley & Cedric.
They both used to look after me for awhile, and we’ve stayed friends. My Wife & I even attended their Wedding a few years ago, which was pretty fun.
Anyways, I hung out with them for about an hour, which woke me up, and cheered me up.

Thanks guys

I was pretty tired by the time I went to Bed, so I slept like a baby.

Personally, I never understood that saying.
Babies poop, pee, and usually cry & scream at night. I don’t cry & scream, but ok whatever.

Anyways, the next day, I stayed home, but hung out with my Wife that night.

Saturday was a very busy day for us, but we had a blast.

Our first stop was Expresso Cafe, so I could grab an Espresso.
From there, we headed to La Petite Mort Gallery, which is a small Art Gallery in Ottawa.
They’re running an Exhibit, and my Wife knows one of the featured Artists.

Things got interesting.
A few days ago, I emailed the Gallery to see if they were Wheelchair Accessible.
The guy said they had a Ramp, but it was stored in the Basement, and to let them know when I was coming, and they’d get it out.

Well, they put the Ramp out for me when we arrived. It looked pretty steep though, and I didn’t want to try.
The Guy brought out two Sculptures which were made by my Wife’s friend.
One happened to be a Penis, and the other one was a Vagina. So there I was in the middle of the Sidewalk with a Penis & a Vagina on my tray. The whole time, we’re just talking away about them.

After a few minutes, we headed off.
Special thanks to the people at La Petite Mort Gallery for showing me those pieces.

From there, my Wife and I went into a few Stores in the Market on our way to get Gelato.

After the Gelato, we headed to the Rideau Centre for a bit.
My Wife bought me a Starbucks Card, and put $10 on it.

We headed home for a bit to rest up before we headed to the Greekfest.

We arrived there shortly before The Zorba Show.
The Zorba Show is where people dance, break plates and glasses while getting drunk on Ouzo, which is Greek Booze.
I should also mention that part of the show involves them dancing in the middle of a fire circle.
It’s insane!

Speaking of Ouzo, I had three shots of it, and it’s pretty good, perhaps too good.

After the show, they invited everyone to dance, and sure enough we did.

At one point, I got stuck in the middle of a dance circle, so I just started dancing while I was in it. I wish I got that on Video though. It was pretty funny.

Trying to dance while driving a 500 pound Wheelchair is pretty hard, especially after having three shots of Ouzo, but I managed to avoid running anyone over.

We headed home awhile later, but we had a blast though.

As for today, I had Coffee with my Wife. She tried to make Espresso with her Espresso Maker, but it tasted more like Coffee. It was still pretty good.

After that, I did Laundry.
Tonight, I’m heading out to watch WWE Summerslam.

As for this Week, besides the Meeting on Tuesday Morning, no real plans.
My Sister & Nephew arrive on Thursday, but I probably won’t see them until Saturday Morning.

I might go to the Ex on Thursday. The Ex is our annual Fair.

That’s about it.

So yesterday, I asked my Chair Tech guy what they’d do with my old Chair once I get the new one.
Sadly, they throw them away.

This got me thinking to what I did the last time to my old Chair.

It was about ten years ago.
An all day Music Festival called Edgefest was coming to Ottawa.
The lineup included Green Day, & Foo Fighters.
My new Chair was set to arrive the day after the Concert, so I got an idea.

My plan was to destroy the Chair I had, and I decided to do it while having ALOT of fun.
The answer:
Go into the Mosh Pit at a HUGE Concert.

I was fully aware of the risks involved, but honestly, I didn’t care.
Luckily, my Attendant that day was a tall, strong guy who was pretty wild at the time.
He was all for it.

We arrived at Lansdowne Park, and scoped the place out.
For most of the day, we sat further in the back, and had a great preview of our plan.
As the night wore on, we started getting closer to the Stage.
I was really nervous, but it was something I’ve always wanted to do.

Green Day was up next, so we got to our spot, and went over the game plan.
The next thing we knew, it was time.

The Crowd gathered around, and my Chair started rocking.
Then, some guy at the front of the Stage started firing Water with a hose at the Crowd.
At that moment, I wasn’t able to drive my Chair, plus my Chair was soaked.
My main concern was to keep my Ventilator dry, which we managed to do.

Soon after, Crowd surfing started.
People got near me a few times, but my Attendant was able to throw them so they didn’t hit me.
We got out soon after that.

One of the Roadies saw us, and we told them about our mission, and he gave us Drumsticks from Green Day, & Foo Fighters.

By the end of the night, my Chair had been totally thrashed, and I was proud of myself.

I got my Chair the very next day without any questions being asked.
Don’t ask
Don’t tell

So this leads me to my next mission.
I need to figure out how to “kill” this Chair when I know my new one’s on the way.

If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

So the last few posts have been about America’s Got Talent. Now, I’m gonna write about my life, for the next few days.

So my Wife got back to Ottawa on Wednesday, along with her 10 year old Niece from Halifax.

We spent Wednesday Evening together playing the game, Trouble. I’m sure most of you know about the game, so I won’t go into details, except that I won. After that, I headed back home for the night.

On Thursday, we headed to the Central Canada Exhibition, which is a yearly Fair.
We walked around a bit, fed some Animals.
The rest of the time, they went on rides.
As some of you know, I’ve been on a few rides, but I didn’t feel like doing it this year.
I headed home shortly after that.

A few hours later, the girls returned home and we got to hang out together.
We ate Ice Cream, played Sorry, and then we watched Marley & Me.

In case you haven’t seen it, it stars Owen Wilson & Jennifer Aniston as a Couple. They get a Dog named Marley, who’s extremely hyper all the time and always getting into trouble.
Eventually, Marley gets old and sick, and the Family has to make a very imortant decision about the fate of Marley.

It’s a good movie, but pretty sad, especially for a kid’s movie.
At least, it’s realistic.

There’s a lack of realism in movies today. Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure Shrek is 100% realistic.

Anyways, that was my Thursday night.

As for today.
Today hasn’t exactly been a good day. Soon after I woke up, I received a phone call informing me that my trip to Montreal has to be cancelled.

The reason is that the Staff person (Attendant) that was supposed to come with me had a Root Canal and got an infection in her mouth. Nobody else is availiable to take me.

As of right now, the plan is to HOPEULLY be able to go next Sunday. It all depends on if there’s no other Wheelchairs on that Train. Via Rail only only has room for one Wheelchair on its Trains. It MIGHT be two, but my Wheelchair is pretty wide.

They definitely need more spots for Wheelchairs.
This isn’t the 50s anymore, Crips like to get out of Town sometimes.
Cause that’s how we roll, baby!

One good thing has happened to me today. I was able to go to the Bank to deposit money, which is always a good thing.
Just to make sure, I didn’t have too much fun doing that, it rained the whole time I was out.

So my Wife’s Niece is leaving later today. I’m gonna miss her. It was nice having her around for a few days. She’s a great kid and has fed me Ice Cream two different times now, and even Wine. It’s never too soon to teach kids that even they can help a Disabled person out.

I guess I could say that I like kids in small doses.

Well that’s it for now.
Hopefully, I’ll be able to go to Montreal next Sunday.

I hope you all have a good weekend out there.
Thanks for reading.

Here’s a quick recap of last night’s show:
Jeffrey Ou (Pianist) got the votes over Bri. (Singer)
Mario & Jenny (Comedy/Variety) got the votes over Marcus Terell and the Serenades. (Singers)
Lawrence Beamen (Singer) got the votes over Dave Johnson (Singer), and Jay Mattioli. (Magician)
Hairo Torres (Dancer) got the win over U4RIA Dance Crew (Dancers), and G-Force. (Singers)
The Foot Work Kings (Dancers) got the Judges decision over Pixie Mystere. (Dancers)

Final Thoughts:
The Judges made the right choices except for the first one. I thought Bri was better than Jeffrey Ou.

Now I’m off to spend the Afternoon with my Wife & her Niece at The Ex.
