Today, I wish to discuss the Eliot Spitzer News story.

By now you probably know that (Soon to be former) NY Governor Eliot Spitzer was caught in the middle of a Prostitution ring.

The scandal erupted Monday when allegations surfaced that the 48-year-old father of three daughters spent thousands of dollars on a call girl at a swanky Washington hotel on the night before Valentine’s Day.

The case started when banks noticed frequent cash transfers from several accounts and filed suspicious activity reports with the Internal Revenue Service, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press. The accounts were traced back to Spitzer, leading public corruption investigators to open an inquiry.

The New York Times, citing unnamed law enforcement officials, reported on Monday that Spitzer was the man identified as “Client 9” in a federal affidavit revealing details from an investigation into a prostitution ring.

Client 9 arranged to meet with “Kristen,” a prostitute who charged $1,000 an hour, on February 13 in a Washington hotel and paid her $4,300, the court document said.

The ironic part of all this is that for years he was involved in breaking up Prostitution rings in and around the NY State area.

It was hard enough before to trust Politicians before and now this just reaffirms that fact. To top it off, Eliot Spitzer is married, with three kids.

I’ve never  been a fan of Politics, but I do love hearing when there’s corruption.

It gives Comedians like myself, new material while we quietly feel good about the fact that it’s better them than me.
