Alright Wrestling Fans, Wrestlemania 24 is over and it was a great show.

Winner: AND NEW CHAMPION The Undertaker @ 23:51 via submission (Correct) 4 for 10
Final Score: 4/10 — 40% — Normally I hate to be wrong, but not this time. I’m glad it turned out to be unpredictable, at least for me.
Match of the night for me was Ric Flair VS Shawn Michaels. Not only was it a great match, but it was also emotional. So long, Ric Flair and thanks for the memories.
There was a tech problem and we all missed the first ten minutes. Each of us received a Coupon to attend a “Special Event” for free.
If you wish to send your thoughts or comments about Wrestlemania 24, please feel free to do so. Either leave a comment to this post or email me directly.

With nothing else going on right now, I’ve decided to post my predictions for Wrestlemania 24 which airs LIVE on Pay Per View this Sunday (March 30th) at 7 PM Eastern.
Here’s the card for the event. My predictions will be written in bold.
Raw/SmackDown/ECW 24-Man Battle Royal
- Winner gets a ECW Championship shot the night against Chavo Guerrero.
Confirmed Participants:
Raw: Snitsky, Brian Kendrick, Lance Cade, Trevor Murdoch, Hardcore Holly, Cody Rhodes, Val Venis, Hacksaw Jim Duggan
SmackDown: Mark Henry, Chuck Palumbo, The Great Khali, Deuce, Domino, Jesse, Festus, Kane, Jamie Noble, Jimmy Wang Yang, Shannon Moore,
ECW: Elijah Burke, Matt Striker, The Miz, Tommy Dreamer, Kofi Kingston
This match will be shown for free on wwe.com at 6:30 PM. I probably won’t see it because I’ll be on my way to the Movie Theatre for the show. I’m picking Kane to win and go for the Title later that night.
Live On Pay-Per-View:Triple-Threat WWE Championship Match
- Randy Orton (c) vs. John Cena vs. Triple H
Triple H will win the Title here.
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Match
- Edge (c) vs. The Undertaker
Undertaker will defeat Edge to not only win the Title, but remain undefeated at Wrestlemania.
ECW Championship Match
- Chavo Guerrero (c) vs. Raw/SmackDown/ECW Battle Royal Winner
I picked Kane to get the Title show, but somehow Chavo will remain ECW Champion.
Money In The Bank Ladder Match
- Ken Kennedy vs. Chris Jericho vs. Shelton Benjamin vs. Carlito vs. MVP vs. CM Punk vs. John Morrison
A Suitcase will hang above the ring. Inside the Suitcase will contain a Contract for a Title shot that can be claimed anytime within 365 days following the match.
This is tough to predict, but my guess will be Ken Kennedy once again.
Career Threatening Match
- Ric Flair vs. Shawn Michaels
This will be a very emotional match for everyone involved, including the fans. If Flair loses, he will be forced to retire and Flair’s Wrestling Career will end after 30+ years. With Flair’s induction into the WWE Hall Of Fame later tonight (11 PM Eastern on USA Network & The Score in Canada. UK — Sunday March 30th, 8 AM on Sky Sports 3) it is expected that his last match will be at Wrestlemania 24. My prediction is that Shawn Michaels will win in what should be a great match.
Raw vs. SmackDown Match
- Umaga vs. Batista
This will be what I refer to as my bathroom break. My prediction is neither one will win and the fans won’t be happy. I expect a rematch down the road between these two juice monkeys.
BunnyMania Lumberjack Match
- Ashley & Maria vs. Beth Phoenix & Melina
Ashley & Maria will win.Belfast Brawl
- Finlay vs. John “Bradshaw” Layfield
Another bathroom break for me. Hopefully I return to see Hornswoggle (a midget leprechaun) return and beat up the millionaire. Wow, I can’t believe I just typed that. Anyways, I pick Finlay to win and he’ll reveal himself as Hornswoggle’s Father. Now you see why I get teased for being a Wrestling fan at 33 years of age.
Big Show vs. Floyd Mayweather
Alright, this is the match everyone supposedly wants to see. Let me break it down for you. Floyd Mayweather is a Boxing Champion that weighs about 150 lbs. I’m not a fan of Boxing, so I’m not fully aware of his skills or background. Big Show stands at over seven feet and weighs over 400 lbs. Common logic and sense would have Big Show beating the crap out of Mayweather. This is Pro Wrestling though and common sense rarely prevails.
I pick Floyd Mayweather to win.
So there you have it. I will post how accurate I was shortly after I return home.
Enjoy the show, Wrestling fans.

I’m slowly starting to believe that Spring didn’t forget about Ottawa, Canada. It’s still a little cold here, but apparently it’s gonna get warmer over the next few days. Not soon enough for me, but I’ll take it. I’ve had enough of Winter and I’m ready to break free and have some fun outside.
My only concrete plans for this weekend is watching Wrestlemania. If I can’t get a ride to see it at the Theatre, I’ll probably watch it at home.
I’ve been a Wrestling fan for about 21 years now. I still get teased about it at times, but I don’t care. A few years ago, I worked for a Local Wrestling Company for about six months. At one event, I got to hold the Titles and various Robes. That was pretty neat to be part of the action. I also did Backstage duties as well. I got to hang out with Raven a few times and he even smashed a guy’s face with my Tray on my Wheelchair. So, that was one of my boyhood dreams that came true. Yes, it sounds corny, but how many Physically Disabled Wrestling fans can say they actually worked in Wrestling?
As far as Wrestlemania goes, I may do a post tomorrow giving my predictions for the show, but I haven’t decided yet.
So how many of you plan on taking part in Earth Hour this Saturday? Earth Hour is where people all across the World are supposed to turn off all their lights for one hour from 8-9 PM.
It’s a good idea in theory, but I have to wonder how much of an impact it will actually have. I guess it depends how many people and companies take part in the event.
I still plan on Blogging tomorrow, but probably not between 8-9 PM.

So yesterday was pretty long for me.
Most of you know that I was at the Rehab twice yesterday. Yup, I’m a Druggie. I’m a Slave to Gummi Worms. Mmmm worms.
Just kidding
I went to the Doctor and then returned three hours later to play Boccia. As I left my place, I ran into my Wife (not literally) and she decided to tag along. She got to see where & who I spend my Wednesdays with.
After I practiced a while, I played a few games. I won 1 out of 3 games against him. Not bad if I say so myself. Shortly after that, we returned home so I could watch Moment Of Truth.
The rest of my night was spent relaxing in front of my TV & PC.
There’s a hockey game tonight between the Ottawa Senators & Buffalo Sabres. If Ottawa wins tonight, they seal the deal with a spot in the playoffs.

I don’t have a lot of time to post.
Everything went good with the Respirologist today. The only annoying part was waiting an hour to see him.
Now I’m heading back to the Rehab to play Boccia.

Now that Easter’s over, it’s back to business as usual.
I have an appointment tomorrow at the Rehab with my Respirologist. Later that night, I return to play Boccia.

I hope everyone had a good Easter or at least a good long weekend.
As for me, I was well taken care of.
Here are some pictures.

The food was good and so was the company.
We stayed in Bed until 1 today.
Now that’s my idea of a holiday.

Happy Easter Everyone
I hope a lot of you get tons of Chocolate and/or Candy today. If any of you have leftover Candy, please feel free to email me some.
So as some of you know, I have a hard time chewing food due to a lack of muscles. Finding foods that I can eat is pretty challenging to say the least. I’ve done the whole pureed “shit in a blender” thing for years.
Not fun.
With that in mind, we found two recipes for Easter Dinner.
Let’s take a look at tonight’s Menu.
Creamy Spinach Potage

Sweeter, creamier and more flavorful than white potatoes, parsnips form the ideal vegetable base for a French potage, or thick, creamy soup. Choose small to medium parsnips that are heavy for their size, and slice them in uniform pieces for even cooking.
Directions
- Heat oil in large pot over medium heat. Add chopped onion and celery, and cook 2 to 3 minutes, or until vegetables are softened. Add 6 cups water, vegetable bouillon cubes and parsnips. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium-low, then cover and simmer 20 to 25 minutes, or until parsnips are tender.
- Increase heat to medium-high, and stir in spinach. Cook 1 minute, or until spinach wilts but is still bright green.
- Transfer soup in batches to blender or food processor, and purée until soup is smooth. (Or purée soup in pot using an immersion blender.) Season soup to taste with salt and pepper. Return soup to pot, and keep warm. If making soup ahead of time, refrigerate it until an hour before you plan to serve it, then warm soup over medium heat, but do not boil.
- Just before serving, whisk yogurt and milk in small bowl until smooth. Serve bowls of soup topped with dollops of yogurt mixture.
Serves 8
- 2 tsp. olive oil
- 1 large onion, chopped (about 1 1/2 cups)
- 1 stalk celery, sliced (about 1/3 cup)
- 2 low-sodium vegetable bouillon cubes
- 1 1/2 lb. parsnips, peeled and sliced (about 4 cups)
- 3 cups baby spinach
- 1/3 cup low-fat plain yogurt
- 2 Tbs. low-fat milk or plain soymilk
And for Dessert, we will have this.

So last night, we watched Enchanted on DVD.
I gotta admit, it’s not bad. The singing was a bit much, but the rest was good. If you’re looking to score points with your sig other or watch a good Family movie, you should check out Enchanted.
I had another Tim Hortons Coffee today and played roll up the rim. So far I’m 0-2 this year, but I’m still hoping to win.
Big Hockey game tonight between Ottawa & Toronto and I’ll be parked in front of my TV for it. I’ve been to Toronto several times and I really like it there, but I hate the Leafs.
Toronto also holds a special place in my heart because that’s where I proposed. I did it in our Hotel Suite in my boxers.
It was really hot and sexy, trust me.

First of all, I want to wish a happy Good Friday to those of you celebrating.
I’m not religious at all, but I can appreciate a holiday.
Not a whole lot’s new since my last post.
I just relaxed last night after my not so fun day. I’m hanging in there though.
At least the Senators won and tomorrow’s game against Toronto should be good.

As most of you know, today was my second session of Couples Counseling.
I’m not gonna go in details because that’s personal and not free for public viewing.
One thing that I will say is this. Over the course of the past 33 years since my life started, many many people have said that I’m extraordinary or amazing for what I’ve done with my life and continue to do. To an extent, they’re making me out to be superhuman or at least someone without any flaws.
To be honest, I’m no different than anyone else.
I admit that I have flaws and made mistakes. Hell, I still make mistakes constantly.
Just because I have flaws or make mistakes, it doesn’t mean that I’m a bad person with bad intentions.
It simply means that I’m a normal human.
A human that happens to use a power chair to get around and a ventilator to breathe.
I breathe the same air and walk the same path as everyone.

It’s been raining all day.
Personally speaking, the only thing that it’s good for is sleeping.
As of now, I’m heading to Boccia tonight, but I may pass on that due to the weather.
My Wife & I are heading to another session of Couples Counselling tomorrow.
That’s it for now.

My Wheelchair was taken away early this morning for minor repairs. It returned just before 11 and I got up shortly afterwards.
With the weather being decent, I decided to do a few errands.
Just before I left, I ran into tech problems with my Ventilator.
When I sit at my PC, I usually plug the Ventilator into the wall to conserve battery power. When I plugged it in, it wasn’t switching over. Needless to say, it had potential to become a serious problem. I called to see if I could fix it and they said they’d ship out two new machines asap.
A little while later, they called back to tell me to check a button. Sure enough, once we pushed it, all returned to normal.
I managed to go to the Bank to get laundry change, bought Yogurt and Coffee Cream, did four loads of laundry, took down recycling. Now I sit here blogging about it.
Come to think of it, I’m done with this for now too.
Back tomorrow

Happy St Patrick’s Day to all.
Just for the record, I am indeed half Irish, which is very cool to me.
So last night, we went to see Bank Job.
It’s a great movie and I highly recommend it.
Things got interesting.
When we arrived, we saw a sign that said the Elevators were broken and to use the ones down the hall. We got to the other ones and noticed that they only went down and the theatre was on the top floor. I was taken to the Freight Elevator and got there in time to see the movie.
Things were good until after the movie.
After I returned from the Bathroom, I was informed that the Freight Elevator had broken down. So now, we were stuck. Actually I was stuck there. They offered us to see another movie for free with free snacks. I decided against the movie and snacks and just decided to wait it out while sitting with my Wife.
As luck would have it, all was fixed about 20-30 minutes later and we headed home. I had to cancel my ride, so we hopped on an OC Transpo bus.
It was just another wacky adventure in the life of a disabled person.

On March 16, 1994, I left the Childrens Hospital Of Eastern Ontario after living there for 19 years straight, including 6 years in a windowless ICU. It certainly wasn’t easy. I loss tons of friends due to various illnesses and diseases. There’s not a lot of people in this World that can fully understand what it’s like, nor do I recommend it.
At the age of 15, I was given a choice. 1. To live in a group home. 2. To live in a long term Hospital. Being the tough, stubborn SOB that I am, I chose a 3rd option. I wanted something that everybody wants, I wanted freedom. I chose to think “outside the box” and wanted to live on my own.
My Mom & I wrote letters and pleaded with the Government both locally and nationally. It took 4 years of hard work, sweat, tears, and letters to get what most take for granted. In the end, I got my wish.
On March 16th, 1994, the Hospital threw me a big party. Nurses, Doctors, and even the Media were there. I had mixed feelings at the time. I was happy, sad, scared, and possibly just a tad proud of myself.
At the time, I was the first severely physically disabled person in Canada to do this. I was given a huge send-off. The first night in my own place was spent relaxing and watching TV and of course the news.
I won’t deny that I’ve had my share of ups & downs in 14 years, but who hasn’t. Through it all, I’ve learned a lot both negative and positive and have become stronger, physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Just 3 years ago, I had to once again fight for my freedom. One of the places that was providing funds decided to cut me off. Once again, they wanted to ship me off to a group home. To top it off, my best friend had just passed away. This time around, I lobbied successfully and convinced the Government once again that I’m worth it. I received word about my victory right after his Funeral.
I’m not sure what tomorrow, next week, or next year will bring, but I know one thing for sure.
Nothing is better than freedom.

My day started off at 10 am, which is early for me.
I headed downstairs to get my ride, which was actually waiting for me which is extremely rare. It just so happened that my Wife was heading out at the same time, so she got in my ride as well.
My first stop was Tim Hortons to grab a Coffee. I didn’t win anything in their “roll up the rim” contest, but the Coffee was damn good as always.
We sat down for a few minutes before we went our seperate ways to do errands.
I bought Coffee Beans (Sumatra) to have at home, Coffee flavoring, a new Ottawa Senators Coffee mug, Kleenex, Razor Blades, Q-Tips, Ottawa Senators Scarf.
I’m set for awhile, including the NHL Playoffs.
After I returned home, I did Laundry.
I plan on relaxing tomorrow until we head out to see The Bank Job.

I was gonna go shopping tomorrow, but I may postpone it due to supposed freezing rain on the way.
As I mentioned yesterday, Sunday is my 14th Anniversary of gaining my freedom from an institution. That sounded bad, but read my last post if you’re confused.
Anyways, my Wife’s taking me to see The Bank Job on Sunday night.
Here’s a write-up about it from Yahoo.
A car dealer with a dodgy past and new family, Terry has always avoided major-league scams. But when Martine, a beautiful model from his old neighborhood, offers him a lead on a foolproof bank hit on London’s Baker Street, Terry recognizes the opportunity of a lifetime. Martine targets a roomful of safe deposit boxes worth millions in cash and jewelry. But Terry and his crew don’t realize the boxes also contain a treasure trove of dirty secrets – secrets that will thrust them into a deadly web of corruption and illicit scandal that spans London’s criminal underworld, the highest echelons of the British government, and the Royal Family itself…the true story of a heist gone wrong…in all the right ways.
It’s based on a true story.
Have a good weekend out there everyone.

I had a show last night.
The audience was pretty tough. A few Comedians even got booed after their jokes or no laughs at all. As for me, I was on near the end, which isn’t always a good thing. I managed to pull through though and the crowd seemed to warm up to me. I even managed to throw in a new joke, which seemed to go over well.
I watched my newest guilty pleasure. You may know the show, The Moment Of Truth. Last week, I posted my thoughts about it. One of my readers left a comment summing it up pretty good by saying it’s like a car accident. You don’t want to look, but you just can’t help it.
Amen
There’s a Hockey game tonight between the Ottawa Senators and Montreal Canadiens. I was a big fan of Montreal when I was a kid and got to meet many of the players. Now, I’m 100% an Ottawa fan. My Wife is from Montreal, but doesn’t really follow Hockey.
This Sunday marks my 14th Anniversary of living on my own. For those unaware, I spent the first nineteen years of my life living in a Hospital with other kids. On March 16th, 1994, I moved into my own place and haven’t looked back since. I’m sure I’ll write more about it this weekend.
That’s all for now, blog fans.
Until next time.
